Dr. Teng-umnuay received his medical degree with first class honors from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 1986 and also board certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in 1990 and 1992. Then, he went to study at the University of Florida in the field of Molecular Cell Biology where he earned his PhD degree in 1998.

Dr. Teng-umnuay is one of the well-known lecturers on the subjects of nutraceutical supplements, stem cell biology, and anti-aging medicine.

Currently, he is the dean of College of Integrative Medicine and an assistant professor of the Anti-aging and regenerative program of Dhurakij Pundit University.

He is one of The Thai National Committee on Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine and also serves as a consultant for The Thai Chelation Society and Thai Cell Therapy Society.

He also works as a consulting physician for Phyathai 2 Hospital, Thailand and organizes HEAT International Anti-aging Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr Raju embarked on a corporate career in the medical and pharmaceutical field with a role as a Pharmaceutical Physician in globally recognized Fortune 500 companies, including Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Wockhardt, and Menarini. During tenure in these organizations, Dr. Raju worked in various facets including Medico Marketing, Strategy and Innovation and was part of the teams that successfully launched over 50 pharmaceutical products in the Asia Pacific market. Dr Raju was the part of the team which launched Forxiga the first SGLT2 inhibitor in India which became a blockbuster drug in the market within one year of launch.

Transitioning into the rapidly evolving field of Digital Health, Dr. Raju served as the Medical Lead for South Asia for Wolters Kluwer, a company reputed for its clinical decision support system used by more than 2 million doctors across 180 countries. In this capacity, Dr. Raju worked with hospitals and health sytems in 15 countries and managed the implementation and usage of this advanced system, marking a significant milestone in the professional journey awarded by CEO for the best collaboration work in Asiapac region.

Later, Dr. Raju accepted the position of Director for Growth at Twin Health, a Diabetes Digital Therapeutics company, and was entrusted with the responsibility of driving the growth strategies of the organization. The next move led to Dr. Reddy's Labs, an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company, where as the Head of Global Innovation, Dr Raju focused on Medical Devices and Digital Therapeutics. In this capacity, the development and launch of innovative medical devices and digital therapeutics were spearheaded, catering to the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

Currently, Dr. Raju is leading the KGDC Project (Kerala Genome Data Centre) for the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (KDISC) which is Government think tank entrusted with creating innovative projects blending science and long term outcomes.

Dr. Raju is an avid traveller and has visited more than 40 countries. Dr Raju has many scientific publications and is a mentor and advisor for many startups and Health technology investors. Dr. Raju has been a speaker and moderator in many scientific conferences and has been a panelist in many technology conferences. Dr. Raju is a Mentor for Femtech Labs London(Accelerator for Femtech ventures) and also and Advisor for EU India Innocenter for Healthcare startups.
